Objectives of Project
Our Euroglass* Monaco and Euroglass* Pradis balustrade systems were used to add the final touches to this beautiful home which sits atop of a saddle positioned 477 meters above sea level. This was a six year project for the home owners and was completed on the 29th of March this year.
Special Challenges We Faced
- Wind and more wind! With 360 degree views of the Tasman Bay and at 477 meters above sea level the site was extremely exposed to the elements. Winds ranged from 40- 200km/h winds, some of the most extreme glazing conditions that the Nelson team has experienced.
- The structure was a mixture of steel and timber that made this a challenge for the Technical Team and the installers involved.
Products We Used
- Euroglass* balustrade systems (supplied by Euroglass* Hardware Auckland) including Monaco Channel and Pradis Clamp Systems.
- 15mm and clear toughened heat soaked Sentryglas® was used for the project.
*Euroglass is a brand of Viridian Glass New Zealand.
Summary
The fully frameless glass illustrates the best use of glass, as it is the only product that can create a seamless and uninterrupted view, whilst providing protection.
